HOW TO BECOME A TABLE CAPTAIN
Table Captains are the heart of the HRC Mile High Gala - which is the largest annual fundraiser for HRC Colorado. The attendance and financial support with our 23nd annual event in 2014 is critical for HRC's continued efforts to end discrimination against the LGBT community and provide fundamental fairness and equality for all.

The commitment with being a Table Captain and hosting a table represents your dedication in supporting HRC Colorado and the Mile High Gala - as follows:

Purchasing a complete table of 10 seats, promoting the event and inviting guests to join your table
Purchasing your ticket, promoting the event and inviting guests to purchase their tickets to join your table

INVITE YOUR GUESTS
Once you commit to being a Table Captain the next step is to start promoting the event and inviting guests to join your table. You can extend the invitations to your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, or other allies for equality who you (or your guests) believe have an interest in supporting HRC's efforts for the LGBT community.

Another option is asking your company to purchase / sponsor a corporate table for you and your co-workers to attend together - click here for complete Sponsorship details.

The most important thing is to send your invites early and not wait until the last minute, since your guest's calendars will probably fill-up quickly. Getting the event on their schedules earlier will give you the highest likelihood of successfully filling your table. You can download and send our sample invitation letter as is, or personalize the letter to include a message about your involvement with HRC and the importance of providing continued support. If you would like to send the intivation letter via email, just copy and paste the details from the document into your email. A copy of the invitation letter is available for download right here!

The best invitation for your guests is a personal one - either in person, by telephone, e-mail or mail.

Your social networking profile(s), such as Facebook, are also a great tool for providing event status updates and links to the HRC and Mile High Gala websites.

Another consideration is hosting an event at your house or a neighborhood establishment to discuss details about the event and extend invites to guests in person. Let us know if you would like us to help promote your event or if you would like participation from your Table Captain Co-Chairs or other Mile High Gala committee members.

Let us know if you or your guests have referrals for other corporate sponsorship opportunities or silent auction donations. If you don't feel comfortable making the "ask" we will be happy to make the connection on your behalf.

PURCHASE TICKETS
The 2014 Mile High Gala is not only the largest annual fundraiser for HRC Colorado, but also an evening for celebrating recent accomplishments and experiencing compelling and empowering moments with other likeminded LGBT advocates and allies who support equality for all.

Ticket sales and other financial contributions from the event will have a direct impact with HRC's influence, actions, advocacy and outreach for many significant national, regional and local LGBT efforts and initiatives, including:

Passing pro-LGBT state and federal legislation;
Fighting for marriage equality in all states;
Passing the fully-inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA);
Ending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA);
Electing fair-minded politicians (at state and federal levels)

Ticket Prices

Individual tickets are $175.00 each
Federal Club tickets are $100.00 (for current members)
Student tickets are available for $100.00 with a valid school ID

Note: a $7.25 processing fee per ticket/item will apply.

Contributions or gifts to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) are not tax deductible as charitable contributions or a business expenses under IRS Section 162(e).

Sponsorship Opportunities
If you would like to purchase a table or an individual seat at your table as a Table Captain sponsorship for students or other financially challenged members of our community, please contact your Table Captain Co-Chairs to discuss additional details.

GUEST REGISTRATION DETAILS
Your Table Captain Co-Chairs can assist you with your guest registration details - including guest registration reports, monthly payment plan information, Table Captain sponsorships and facilitating additional tables or seating needs.

For your convenience, Box Office Tickets has a setting for Table Captains to automatically receive e-mail updates as guests purchase tickets and register for their tables.

We also understand that even with extra efforts and best intentions you may not able to fill all 10 seats at your table, so as needed we will arrange for other guests to join your table to maximize our seating capacity.

RECOGNITION & INCENTIVES
To recognize their tremendous support and efforts, Table Captains will be listed on the dinner invitations and in the event program books.

We are also offering a few incentives for Table Captains this year - specifically for those who are eager to promote the event, invite guests and fill their tables:

Pick Your Table Location - for the first three Table Captains to fill their table. Table location excludes already established corporate sponsor seating.
Tickets to the VIP Silent Auction Preview Party - for the first 10 Table Captains (plus a guest) to fill their tables.
